Newest videos coming sooooon!

So about a week ago I uploaded the "Get Ready With Me: Morning Routine" video, and I am currently working on a few more! My computer crashed the other day and I lost EVERYTHING. It was so sad. Videos I was working on, pictures that can't be replaced. I can't get it fixed right away because I don't have the money but I am saving up to get a new one because my current computer is just not the greatest. I definitely am saving for a macbook. I am using my moms computer to edit/use until I get my new one, or my current one gets fixed. But the only bad thing is the videos that I already transferred to my computer have been lost completely. Which makes me so mad! But I am currently working on new ones at the moment! One is the I <3 Fall Tag that I am filming today. I was tagged by Andrea Marie (FromInsideMyCloset on youtube) So thank you Andrea, for tagging me! :)

Also I am currently collectively buying new clothes/products/makeup for a collective haul I will be doing at the first of November! I am so excited that I am getting new things because I definitely need them. Plus it's always nice to get new things! :)

The other videos I am going to be working on over the course of the month are:
- DIY's of different sorts!
- Makeup/Hair Tutorials!
- Fashion videos!
- A Halloween Tutorial!
- A couple other tags!

I am super excited to do these videos. I think the Halloween tutorial will be the most fun!
But thank you to all of you who do watch my videos and have subscribed! I am so thankful for it, you have no idea how appreciative I am of you! I <3 you so much!

UPDATE

So I've been super busy and haven't been able to post anything lately.
This is to the very few of you who actually keep up with my blog. Haha.
Anyways, I thought I would share some things that have been happening
lately that have stopped me from blogging or making any new videos
-- (BTW, I've decided to make new videos every TUESDAY.
So IF anyone does follow my blog and watch my youtube videos,
make sure to subscribe and watch my videos every tuesday!
If you haven't seen any of them, here's the link! :)

First off, bad news. I got a job at Speedway, worked for 3 days, and then lost it, for really dumb reasons. Bleh. I hate the manager anyways, no biggie. Good news is that this factory that pays super good money, is hiring. And the hiring people are going to help me out and get my application pulled and hopefully SUBMITTED, then maybe they'll call me in for an interview, then I'll start my first day, and the $moolah$ will start flooding in! Which is definitely what I need right now. Sorry but, student loans and financial aid really doesn't last that long when you have to buy books, a laptop, a $400 a month clinic fee, medicine, bills, shit like that. So not fun. I need MF money dude! Life ain't easy, that's for damn sure!

Since yesterday was tuesday, this week will be an exception. I will post the new video either tomorrow night or thursday. The video that I'm going to make is gonna be about tie dying stuff! I looked around on youtube to see if there was any good tie dye videos on there but there's literally only a few good ones. So, I'm gonna try to make a simple tutorial that anyone can understand. Also, I'm going to be making random videos during my daily life so that everyone can see who I really am. Things like: thrift store shopping, style videos, hair/makeup tutorials, and some stuff of my cats and my dog being weirdo's. Haha. So, stay tuned and keep up with my blog and youtube (link above^)

THIS WEEK//
NEW VIDEO - 3/21/12 (TONIGHT) - How to tie dye stuff!

Reconstructing t-shirts //

I've been reconstructing my t-shirts to kind of update my wardrobe without going and buying all these new clothes. So this is a great idea if you want to do that.

Check out my youtube page for tutorials on how to reconstruct your t-shirts.
http://www.youtube.com/user/rangerjeff1?feature=mhee

Here's a few of the shirts that I have reconstructed:

On this shirt I basically just cut a V neck, off the shoulder look. Cut below the seams and then go down to a point on each side. (You can use a sharpie or chalk and draw a line in the shape of a V, just to have a clearer idea of where to cut.

On this shirt, I did the same thing as the last one. V neck, off the shoulder look.
On this shirt I just cut on the neckline to make it a circular shape. If you want an off the shoulder kind of look to your shirt, you can go about an inch away from the seam where your shoulder kind of starts, and cut down in a half circle shape.
For this shirt, I did the V neck, off the shoulder look.
For this shirt I did an off the shoulder look.
This is the racer back top type shirt. I basically just cut the back layer in 2 half circles on each side to make the back like a racer back. where the middle has a thin part. Then, I cut the sleeves off, and left the neck seam the way it was. Then you take the material from your sleeves and cut 2-3 inch strips and pull them to give the strips a rolling effect, then tie knots starting at the bottom of the thin part where it stops off and goes underneath your arms to the part at the top of your shoulders, reaching around towards the front. Tie those knots about half-inch/inch away from each other and keep tying them until you've wrapped around the front.
For this shirt I cut the neckline out, and then I took the sleeve and folded it in the middle and then cut about 5 horizontal lines. After you do that to both sleeves, stretch out the strips to give them a rolling effect, then you've got this look!

Half-Sleeve Tattoo Ideas!

So, I've decided that I definitely want a half-sleeve. BUT - it's super hard deciding what you want to get! ESPECIALLY something so big and bold and visible! Sleeves to me are kind of like a design describing YOU. Kind of like the design you like, and things around it that mean something to you.
So I've been rummaging through tumblr, google, weheartit, and other sources to find pictures of half-sleeves to kind of get ideas of what I want!
Since it's PERMANENT - like all tattoos, you have to consider a few things before getting it so I am considering absolutely everything! I want it to be perfect, and I most certainly do not want to regret it when I'm 80 years old! I want to be able to be 80 and look at my arm and STILL think it's beautiful.

Here are my ideas! :)

This is kind of the outline that I want, I want it to go onto my chest and underneath my collar bone. This design is sort of like an octopus and then under her collar bone is a little bunny being choked to death! ahhh lol!

BUT - I do love this kind of outline. Not sure if I would want the same design.

This design is black and gray and has roses starting at the top and leading toward the bottom. It's a full sleeve but I do love this design.
This design is also roses at the top, which is the kind of idea that I have for mine. I know that I do want flowers incorporated into it for sure.
This is 2 roses design that I could start the sleeve with. Since I can't pay for it all at once. But I was thinking I could get this for the first tattoo and then go down with it.
I am in love with this design of flowers and greenery. I'm thinking about getting this design, maybe!
I love the flower with the om symbol inside of it and was thinking that I could incorporate that into my half-sleeve somewhere.
This is the same tattoo as the first picture. But just another idea of the outline I want.

Also, I love this top and the way it was cut! Think I'm going to recreate this look!

Jewelry ideas //

So, as you may know, I've been doing alot of thrift store shopping & gathering tons of clothes to reconstruct. I love reconstructing clothes and making things that look so..."blah" into.. "wah-LAH!"
Another thing that I've been working on that I haven't talked much about is making jewelry. For a while about a year ago, I was making feather hair clips/earrings and would sell them to people on my facebook, my friends, family, & what not. So now, I am wanting to go in an even further direction with it, and make an online etsy shop of it! I want the etsy shop to consist of the following things:

  • Feather Hair Clips & Earrings
  • Stone/Crystal necklaces
  • Other indie/hipster jewelry, etc...
  • My reconstructed clothing items
  • My own handmade sewn clothes
  • Vintage trinkets & things

DIY t-shirt altering

So this is my first video on how I altered my first t-shirt and also kind of an update of things to come. You can go to my youtube page and see this same video, and others will be posted on there soon! Here is the link to my youtube page - Next post // Will be on how to alter jackets or tees in your very own closet, to make them your own creation! & also my DIY pastel hair chalking tutorial! Which is how you can dye highlights into your hair with soft pastels! Such a fun, quick, & easy trick to try if you want something different done to your hair, but don't want to damage it with color or bleach. So this is a great idea for anyone to try! So make sure to keep watch to see when the next video is posted! Thanks loves!

Chalai Creations //

So basically, yesterday I learned to sew! Which is a fantastic thing to learn, especially for the direction that I am going in, in my life. I want to accomplish so many things - I want to have a split boutique with my best friend Bridgett. Right now, we are getting together ideas and things to start that. I also want to be a photographer, maybe a stylist or fashion designer, graphic designer, & things like that.
So last night we bought some fabrics, lace, and a couple shirts to alter. And we looked up youtube videos on how to use a sewing machine, 3 hours later, around 4am, we finally got it. We were literally about to cry! We had worked so hard trying to figure it out and kept messing it up and then finally it worked and we were so happy!
So anyways, I have a picture of the t-shirt that I altered, but not Bridgett's.
Here it is /// ---

I actually really love it. I got some ribbon to put on the bottom of the shirt, I got some fabric that had wolves on it because for some weird reason I'm obsessed with wolves/wild animals right now..haha. And then I sewed the wolf on and the ribbon first, then I cut the pocket to where it was slitted, and I used blue fabric underneath the pocket so it would show through, used fabric glue to adhese it and also, I got some croched/lace looking ribbon and used fabric glue to adhere it to the top of the pocket. Also made a bunch of slits in the back of the shirt. I'm not sure if I'm finished with it yet or not. I may alter it more, or I may just buy more shirts and alter them in different ways.

But the things to come in the near future are: video tutorials on how to cut t-shirts in certain ways, how to sew certain things, post ideas, my style pictures, video tutorials on random things like chalk dying your hair, how to make feather hair clips, earrings, and headbands. TONS of things to do!! But I am so excited. Now that I am aware of how to sew, I can alter some of the clothing I have into something even more awesome! Then it will be my own creation, instead of someone else's.

Thanks for reading my posts, stay tuned for tutorials, how to's, and my style photographs!
ALSO; I will be posting my videos on youtube (i'll give you the links to my videos in the next post about my creations!) I am also posting things on tumblr & buzznet! Also, I will give those links in the next post as well!

// SHARE MY BLOG with your friends!
I NEED FOLLOWERS!

Next post will more than likely be a tutorial for sewing and altering t-shirts & things of that nature. Stay tuned for more fun and interesting clothes and ideas!
Thanks lovies <3

My new favorite show -- Portlandia

Portlandia - Cacao

Portlandia - Bad Tattoo

New tattoo & the rude tattoo artist //

<< // MY NEW TATTOO!

For the past...year/year and a half, i've been contemplating what tattoos I want. I always save all these pictures on my laptop and my phone and keep looking at them constantly to try to decide what I want. Since i've got my school money, I've been saying that I was going to get one, and never could decide. So yesterday, during algebra class, I decided and right after class, I went to the tattoo parlor and got the tat. Which was extremely spontaneous of me, which is sort of out of character for me cause I rarely ever just decide something so extreme and just go do it right then. Also, no one went with me. I went by myself and went through the terribly annoying pain without anyones hand to squeeze. Instead, I squeezed my purse which is all wrinkled up now because of it. But anyways, Bridgett (my best friend) and Logan (my boyfriend) were on their way right before and as I was getting it. Bridgett showed up literally seconds after he finished and I was just like ".....come on." But the guy that did it was very rude and in a way, disrespectful. When we started the tat, he hardly talked at all. Talking definitely would have got my mind off of the pain. When we finished, he just got up and was walking and I was like, "Aren't you going to put a bandage on it?" Cause he didn't even do that! That was just like 'what the fuck' for me. Then we get up to the counter and I pay him for it and he just walks off, doesn't give me a paper saying what I can and cannot do for the first few days while it's healing, didn't give me any a&d ointment, which is stupid as fuck because just today the tattoo starting kind of peeling and the black was kind of flaking off and I had to go to walmart and buy neosporin. I was basically appauled by this dude. Like, who does that shit, come on.

WORD OF ADVICE - If you're going to be a tattoo artist, you should probably learn how to actually be SOCIABLE! You can't just sit there and be silent the whole time cause the person will get aggitated from getting the tattoo and your attitude! Ahh I swear I will never get a tattoo from him again!

Note to self - His name was Shane Strout. (Don't get tats from him)

Celebrate black history month!

Black history month is for celebrating because that is when they really became free. I watched the movie "The Help" the other day and cried like a sappy sap all the way through! It really is sad that back in the 60's when they were maids or (mammies) the white families treated them so shitty and was so rude and disrespectful. Treated them like they were different than us. They are not any different whatsoever. They might have a different skin color but that doesn't make them different than us, and it doesn't make us better than them. I hate it when people act racist. My boyfriend is that way. We have so many fights over our opinions about black people. He makes fun of me for being for equality and thinking that all people are equal. But he thinks that blacks and whites should not be together and he thinks that whites are smarter and just weird stupid stuff like that. God says not to judge others no matter what. And he still does it because that's the way he was taught growing up by his mother and papaw and I just completely disagree. We both have very different opinions on basically anything controversial. But I say, celebrate this month and love yourself for who you are, no matter what skin color, no matter what sexual orientation you are. Love yourself and show others that you are perfect just the way you are. :)

First collection - My birthday!

Today is my birthday! I'm finally out of the teenage years, I turn 20 at 6:52 PM tonight!
I love my birthday because I get alot of love and that's always nice :) BUT, the gifts stopped when I turned 18. I guess because you're considered an adult at that age and my family probably thought, adults don't need presents or cards or money or anything. But also, I was acting a damn fool around that time. That's when I was addicted to pills and kept going down the wrong path though. So I can understand why they wouldn't give me money or gifts. Because I would have tried to find a way to turn it into money to spend for pills. Well, I'm done with that now though. 5 months clean and sober! It makes me so happy to be able to say that.

Anyways, here is a collection of photography, fashion, and what nots!
ENJOY! :)

This dress & shoes are perfectly in sync with each other.
LOVE IT!

Ah, Nirvana...the love of grunge clothing comes flooding back!

I want this sweatshirt so bad. I love anything with cute, weird, little owls on it. Ha.

Thinking about dying my hair this color. Not sure yet though.
But I'm loving this outfit.

OR possibly this color?
BTW, that piercing is pretty rad.

Loving this mysteriously melancholy photograph.

This looks fun.
Wine, tamborines, tiny guitars, teepees, & a 60's blanket = love

I want this outfit, in my closet, NOW!
Grandma sweaters make me happy :)

Nature, combined with a cool shirt.

I can't even explain how much I want this old hippie van.
Her shoes are rad.

Love that hat & shirt.

MGMT is my life right now.
I seriously can't go a day without listening to them.

So dead, yet alive in some way.
Their souls may rest in peace forever.
